Day 5 ... Friday, Friday

1) 15 min Yoga for Complete Beginners Class: http://youtu.be/YK4n_6Kadsk

2) 35 min Intermediate Yoga Class - 'Sean is 40 Year…: http://youtu.be/vbdQPqDWNFQ

This morning, I woke up with a little bit of a cough and a tickle in my throat. So I did not want to wake up and start pushing my limits right away. However, I did find a great quick soothing workout this morning in a 15 minute yoga flow for beginners. This class was easy, calm, and definitely not something that taxed my body.

After a half day of work, I was feeling better and ready to do a little sweating. I landed on the intermediate yoga class. I figured that since I had been doing power yoga but this would be a little easier. That was not necessarily the case.

While I was definitely able to keep up with all of the poses and changes, it was the holding of the poses for so much longer than power yoga that really threw me. It was really something else entirely! By the time we got to the finishing forearm planks, I was a big sweaty stinky happy mess.

I'm so grateful to have the chance to be able to do this at my whim! I am so fortunate to be in a position that allows me this practice. Namaste.

For posterity ... Day 4

Day 4 ... Thrilling Thursday afternoon

1) Power Yoga Workout - 30 min Weight Loss Class: http://youtu.be/DSGA3VFaogo

2) Standing Abs Exercises - 6 min Standing Core Work…: http://youtu.be/hFUr7Z2c_Vs

This afternoon NEEDED a swift kick to the rear. The first video I started just as soon as I possibly could. Wow! I was completely not prepared for that one! I did have to stop 2 times and take a quick child's pose just simply because my muscles refused to push me up into up dog one more time.

That being said, I cannot wait to do it again! This was a perfect challenge for me and I plan on getting this one mastered. The bonus part of this video was getting through it of course, but at the end you get rewarded with a little video of the cute puppy Addie. Awwwww!

Video number two was so good! Just like the stretching video from yesterday, I plan on keeping this one in my vault to watch and pause and do a few more reps of each exercise and hold them a little longer. I think, however, that the best part of this video was when Sean said: the next exercise we would do for toning was the double back handspring or something along those lines. Since I had just done crow a couple of times in the previous video I actually took him seriously! No worries though, it was just a joke thankfully.

I'm absolutely loving this journey. Every day, these exercises give me something to be proud of and something to look forward to that's all my own. I am so grateful to have that time. Namaste.

Day 4 ... Thursday

1) Yoga for Complete Beginners - 30 minute Yoga Class: http://youtu.be/xPr4g7o46DY

2) 15 min Yoga Stretch Low Back & Hips - Yoga for Fl…: http://youtu.be/1g7RMmDJkCQ

This morning was slow; I'm not really feeling the get up and sweat first thing today. I can blame the cat for that, I think. Around 3:30 am she jumps on my bed/me reminding me that her food bowl is empty. Obviously, I needed more prompting as she landed a huge scratch down my arm as well.  Le sigh.

At any rate, up and at 'em at 4:15, fed the ungrateful thing and the freaking fish. I chugged some water and got ready to spend some time on me.

I started today with the Sunrise Yoga. It's perfect for Beginners but also if you just want a very easy slow yoga flow to wake up. The scenery is beautiful and tranquil, perfect inspiration for an equally beautiful, tranquil practice.

I next moved to the back and hip stretches, which are magnificent. I highly recommend taking this video and pausing it in each pose to hold them for several minutes. Pigeon, double pigeon/firelog, and pyramid make an appearance, and these are some of my favorite poses. Last class I had at lululemon, we held pigeon for about 10 minutes. When we released to end in corpse pose, I lost it and started crying. I learned to never underestimate the power of stretching, especially in the hips. It releases more than just muscle tension.

I feel great and loose, calm for the morning. So ready to see what today brings. Bring it on, Thursday!

Namaste.

Day 3 ... Afternoon

1) 15 min Yoga Stretch for Complete Beginners - Flex…: http://youtu.be/95VLTDgwZ9o

2) 15 min Weight Loss Yoga & Core Strength Flow - Po…: http://youtu.be/X9dpKzCjJsA

As I'm writing this I am a complete puddle of noodles. That first video of nothing but stretches is going to be great and I think that I want to do that before bed. It's a wonderful video I've just random stretches that you can use on your own for as long as you would like.

The second video will quickly become one of my favorites. 15 solid minutes of uninterupted flow including a full shoulder workout and intense work in the core. This was the first time I was able to make it the full 15 minutes without pausing for a minute or two in child's pose. I do feel a little accomplished! Good 30 minute workout and my body is all warmed up again ready for the second half of the day.

Namaste.

Day 3 ... Work - It Wednesday

FULL 1 Hour Beginner Yoga Class with Sean Vigue -…: http://youtu.be/b_KY4YQkcb4

I woke up at 4:15 this morning.

By the cats. I'm so not a cat person.

At any rate, I sidled to the kitchen to feed the fat things so they don't starve (it would be impossible) and chug a little water. Searching through YouTube for something to tickle my morning fancy, I landed on a full hour beginner's workout that looked just about perfect to get out the morning grumps.

Don't let the title fool you. After a nice long warm up, things got real. A little star, some airplane, a great big number of awesome vinyasa flows, it was fantastic! There was a lot of stretching and several balance exercises in addition to toning. It was a beautiful hour (I won't lie, I checked the clock in plank at one point! ) and did exactly what I hoped it would.

I skipped happily to the shower fully reset, am inch or two taller ;) and totally ready for the day!
